Lincoln is 2 Weeks Old

I had my 2 week visit with the midwives last night. I go back at 6 weeks. They had his little foot prints hanging on the front door :)

They talked to me to see how everything was going, which it is all going well. I have lost 20 pounds of my pregnancy weight - 17 lbs to go!

Lincoln is doing well breastfeeding, and has been gaining well. He was 7 lbs 2.5 ounces at birth, and 6 lbs 12 ounces at 3 days old. At 2 weeks he is now 7 lbs 9 ounces! Babies should be back at their birth weight by 10-14 days old so he is right on target!

I also recently talked to my husband about having more children. It's definitely not something I am equipped to do anytime soon. My hands are beyond full with the three little sunshines I already have... but once they are all school age I may want to have more, so doing something permanent to prevent pregnancy was a hard choice for me. I talked to Dave about this and he understood. We agreed we would reevaluate the situation down the road, but not do anything permanent for now. I know my family thinks I'm crazy, but I can't get rid of the feeling I was meant to raise 5 children. We'll see how life works itself out.
